Kenya (8) v (0) Greece

FOLLOWING on from their impressive performance earlier in the day, the Kenyans began well against the Greeks.
The first goal came from no. 10, who’s fancy footwork was enough to beat the Greek goal keeper. Another two Kenyan goals within seconds made it 3-0.
The Greeks were fighting valiantly but a great run and through ball from Kenya’s no. 8 resulted in another goal from no.10.
By halftime it was 4-0, and it should have been more except for Greece’s goalkeeper continually pulling off impressive saves, denying Kenyans chances.
Halftime entertainment was provided by some of the Greek players. Dancing (to zorba the greek), won the hearts of the greek contingent in the crowd. It must have inspired the players because they threw everything they had at the Kenyans in the second half, creating many opportunities. However, they were to no avail.
Sensing the threat, Kenya’s no. 8 settled his team and tried to slow the game down. However, Greek desperation meant that the Kenyan goalkeeper was forced to produce some miraculous saves to continue to deny them.
The Kenyans received a penalty and failed to convert. The greek goalkeeper’s save inspired his players once more, but they were still unable get the ball in the back of the net.
In the dying seconds of the game, Kenya scored three goals to make the final score 8-0. A flattering score for the Africans.
