Kenya (12) v (2) Germany

THE VISIBLY fired-up Kenyans played Germany at Fed Square. However, it was Germany that scored first. Kenya replied soon after, and it was 1-1 as both teams carefully worked their opposition over.

Kenya took the lead midway through the first half with Said Mohamed Abdille making the most of a breakaway opportunity. Kenya led 5-2 at half time, but it could have been more if not for great defending by Germany.

The Germans continued to defend bravely in the second half but a Kenyan penalty made it 6-2.

Kenya’s patient passing continued to provide them with plenty of opportunities to score, their quick feet toying with the German’s. Goals continued to flow, including a beautiful top corner finish on the turn.

In the end, Kenya’s superior ball skills prevailed and they ran out winners 12-2.
