With no more that a minute on the clock Kazakhstan opened their account with a very well placed shot clinched to the far post by Kazakhstan's no. 3.
Kazakhstan dispalyed some very impressive attacking football; the passing was accurate and possession didn't leave their side before their struggles had been cashed in. 2 quick goals by no. 9 saw the take the lead by 3-0 with 3 minutes on the clock in the first half.
Ghana geared up their defense, now cramming with discipline and patience, awaiting the dangerous Kazakhstanis. Their efforts payed off, when no. 8 capsized after a scientific defense-splitting pass by no. 2.. 3-1 and any body's game now!
Shaking off the temporary strike back from Ghana, Kazakhstan pushed onwards and got themselves two further goals before halftime: the first one being the product of another patient attack and fruiting use of the wide flanks; the other a perfect executed volley by no. 3, that went straight for the top far corner.
Going into halftime the scores was thus 5-2 in favor of Kazakhstan.
If Kazakhstan were resting on their laurels they did well to hide it; the second half was opened with the impressing Kazakhstani defense closing all gaps and keeping their opponents attacking power somewhat innocuous. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan maintained their cool and clever possession on the ball and eventually getting the goals they so badly craved.
Tough tackles dominated the pitch, the players keeping the match a friendly affair though. The Ghanian keeper kept his side's spirits in the game by pulling some magnificent saves.
After an enduring attack with several denied attempts Ghana made it count with a low strike with seconds to go on the clock. The dying seconds saw them hit the bar as well, but in the end it was always going to be Kazakhstan. The strong, Northern Asian team went the distance and earned themselves a very impressive 3rd final winning spot.
