A packed house for the Danes against the Italians. Danish supporters sporting some rather natty hats and confident of victory!The Italians take an early lead with a nicely placed shot into the bottom left corner.
Denmark hit back and it's that man again Bell. Italy take the lead almost immediately dampening the Danish spirits but again Bell equalizes. He has boots made of gold!
Italy are determined to spoil the party and again take the lead but no prizes for guessing who hits back - that man Bell.
Finally Denmark take a lead to the delight of the crowd - remarkably the other players are joining in with the goal fest!
Italy equalize to make it 4-4 at half time.
The Danish keeper makes several top drawer saves and Italy play some good possession football. and at FT it's 5-5!
another penalty shoot out for the Danes. Their nerves will be shot by the end of this tournament.
And in Danish tradition it's a long nervous affair - the first pair both score then the next pair both miss. However fair play to the Italians for great perseverance and they score with their 3rd penalty to take the points.
The Danes are gutted but they will be back better and stronger!
