The Philippines have held off a miraculous Indian comeback, winning the right to contest for third place in the Community Cup.
A penalty shootout was required after the teams ended regulation time in a 6-6 deadlock.
Rondolf Longgakit was superb for the Philippines, netting three goals while Deepak Ho stood tall for the Indians, scoring three of his own.
Play kicked off at a furious pace as the teams looked to rebound after earlier losses in the penultimate day of Homeless World Cup action.
The Indians were dangerous early, scoring two of the first three goals as they showed off their immaculate dribbling skills and powerful shooting ability.
But two late Filipino strikes sent them into half time with a 3-2 advantage on the scoreboard.
An early second half goal to Ricky Elequio put the Philippines in a commanding position but the Indians refused to give in, trading goals with their opposition and keeping themselves alive in the contest.
With just a minute left on the clock the Philippines looked steady, the scoreboard reading 6-4, but India continued to attack.
Two goals in thirty seconds to star striker Ho levelled the teams, taking the match to penalties.
Kevin Logioy held his nerve under pressure to convert for the Philippines in the first penalty of the match, and when Ho put his shot just wide the result was sealed.
