Gothenburg 2004 - Impact Report

After the 2004 Homeless World Cup we followed the progress of the players when they returned to their home countries. 6 months on the results demonstrated a clear indication of the power of the Homeless World Cup.

Out of 204 participants:

  • 78 players (38%) found regular employment
  • 95 players (46%) improved their housing situation
  • 70 players (34%) are pursuing an education
  • 56 players (27%) addressed a drug dependency
More lives changed.

Out of 26 countries 12 set up national street leagues for social inclusion projects.
