HUNGARY has pipped Sweden in an outstanding contest at Melbourne pitch, taking the match 7-4.

The first three minutes of play saw no scoring but rather a tight defence from both sides. Hungary took out the first goal with a shot low to the ground.

The exceptional defensive work from both teams continued in the first half, in particular the stopping efforts from both goalkeepers.

Sweden chased their first goal, taking shots wherever possible, but Hungary were more successful with three more goals before half time.

The second half of the match began with an impressive save from the Swedish goalkeeper, with gutsy attempts from the Hungarian players no match for him.

Sweden kept pushing for a score and their persistence paid off with an impressive goal at the two-minute mark.

Players from both teams worked out in the final minutes to score. Hungary took out the next goal, taking their lead to 5-2.

Each team scored another goal within a minute, but Sweden scored the most impressive goal of the match when a penalty shot provided them the chance for the final goal.

The Swedes rose to the challenge, and although they didn't get the result they would have wanted, they should be satisfied with their comeback from 5-0 down.

Both teams remain a chance to qualify for the top group from group C, with Hungary currently third and the Swedes sixth.
