Yet again two of the best teams in the tournament entered pitch 1- Russia the reigning champions from Cape Town 2006 and a useful Hungary team. Russia got off to a blazing start bombarding the Hungarians with pressure. They went 0-2 up and also had a goal disallowed for encroaching.
Hungary hung in there though and managed to pull one back just before half time with a long range screamer.

Hungary seemed to gain in confidence and enjoyed some good possession. They equalised to make it 2-2 and the last few minutes saw each team score one more goal to make it 3-3 final score.
The penalty shoot out was again over quickly and the Hungarians walked away with spoils after a calm finish.
