Hong-Kong v Chile

Hong-Kong (5) v Chile (5) (Chile wins on penalty)

On pitch 2 the teams fighting for the INSP trophy have reached the Semifinals. Chile and Hong Kong both lost their quarter finals, but due to the special cup system, they go to the Semis anyway.

Chile took the lead early in this game against Hong Kong. After 1 minute of game play it was 0-2.
The Chilean goalie than fumbled and no. 17 from H.K. reduced it to 1-2. Later the same keeper turned out to be an important player for Chileans, turning down some open chances.

A great solo run from Chilean player no. 10 made it 1-3, before  Hong Kong once again reduced  the gap. First half ended 2-3.

The two teams have both come from far,far away. East and west. Now they met in the Danish sunshine, and though they might not have shown qualified for competing for the HWC, they surely fought the best they had learned in this one. That's essentially what HWC is about; giving the players some good experiences. These players gave furthermore each other a very clean game. Only 1 harmless free kick was committed during the 14 minutes of play.

Hong Kong kick started the second half scoring two goals in only 35 seconds, but a third goal from Chilean no. 10 made it equal, 4-4.
That was the score the rest of the second half... until 5 seconds before the final whistle. Hong Kong put in a goal. 5-4!
In the referee's extra time, at 14.07 minutes, Chile made the equalizer. 5-5!!!

In the penalty shootout Chile scored on their first attempt. H.K. hit the cross-bar and though he tried to talk it the rest of the way across the line, it surely wasn't. Chile won the game!
