Greece (6)* v (6) Chile

Won in penalty shoot-out.

IN the match of the tournament so far, Greece downed Chile in a tense penalty shoot-out.

Both teams were playing to stay in contention for the Homeless World Cup, and gave it absolutely everything.

Greek keeper Panagiotis Tsalatsanis was instrumental in setting up his side, leading the way with reflex saves from early Chilean strikes.

But the South Americans quickly managed to sneak two past him, courtesy of a corner and some neat footwork by Carlos Amador Torres Garrido and Felipe Antonio Orellana Vilchez.

The contest heated up as the Greeks replied through Sokratis Fakaros, who went on to add another three goals for the half.

A miracle strike by  Fotios Lazarou on the referee's whistle put the Greeks in front at the long break and brought their fans into it.

Support was strong for both sides with the Greeks gathered in the stands and the Chileans taking over the hill on the opposite side.

An early goal to Torres Garrido levelled the scores at 5-5 and it stayed there for much of the half due to tough one-on-one play.

The referee was kept busy in a physical encounter and when Bourgazas scored the game looked set to explode.

Then out of nowhere, Torres Garrido scored again for Chile with six seconds left to send it into a shoot-out.

With the first two shots converted, the pressure became too much for the Chileans who missed and opened the door for Fotios Lazarou who made no mistake.

It was the second Greek shoot-out victory for the day, keeping them in the hunt for the week's big prize.
