GERMANY has beaten Greece 8-6, with time beating a strong Greek comeback.
Within seconds of the kickoff, Germany's Danny Iwan scored a goal.
Artur Walencik looked set to follow his teammate, but the shot rebounded - allowing Patrick Helliger, to score Germany's second.
Greece's goalkeeper, Panagiotis Tsalatsanis, worked hard to try and stop the deluge, but he couldn't do anything about Helliger scoring the third and fourth after brilliant crosses from Iwan.
After several failed set ups, Iwan took down the right wing and scored their fifth unanswered goal.
The may have 5-0 down, but the Greeks weren't about to give up.First it won a penalty - with Fotios Lazarou netting it.
But despite several attempts at goal from Greece, Iwan is back to his old tricks and scores Germany's sixth. Ironically moments before he had told a teammate to take his time. But nothing seems to be slowing Iwan down.
Greece's Flytzanis Ioannis scores their second goal.
First half ends with Greece facing a four-goal deficit.
Greece's coach must have boosted the team’s morale because within seconds of the whistle blowing Lazarou scores their third in a counter attack and fourth through a penalty.
Germany is on the defensive as Fakaros Sokratis scores for Greece down the left wing.
It's now 6-5 with Greece's coach reminding his players to remain focused.
Germany however comes back with their seventh goal by Helliger and their eighth by Iwan.
Greece take their last shot in the 14th minute - their sixth goal, by Lazarou.
