FRANCE is still chasing its first win of the second round, going down to a very skilful German outfit at Melbourne pitch this afternoon.
A first half hat-trick for Germany’s Denny Iwan set the tone for a comfortable 9-3 victory.
The French played well early with two impressive first half goals, however the silky skills of Iwan proved unstoppable, as he finished with six goals for the match.
In the second half, the Germans displayed their class, adding another four goals to France’s one. Their defence is strong and if they continue to play in a similar manner throughout the later stages of the competition, they will be hard to beat.
