Finland (3) v (4) Greece

Greece defeated Finland in a tight contest today to advance to the Host Cup grand final.
Both team’s goalkeepers were the stars of the first half as they fended off several goal attempts.
The Greeks enjoyed a narrow 2-1 lead at halftime.
The Finns equalised early in the second half and the score line remained 2-2 until Greece took the lead again through Fotios Lazarou with two minutes to play.
The defence of both sides prevented goal-scoring opportunities, until star striker Anne Hirvasvuopio found space and finished beautifully.
At 3-3, the last minute was tense, neither team willing to concede.
The Greeks finally managed the winning goal with seconds remaining in the match; it was a great team goal and a thoroughly deserved win for Greece.
