England has thrashed New Zealand today in an aggressive match, winning easily at 14-2.

It was clear from the beginning of the game that New Zealand had a lot of work to do with England scoring 6 goals in the first 4 minutes of the game, despite great work from the New Zealand goalkeeper Anthony Bradshaw.

Barry Conlon pushed through the English defence scoring a great goal for New Zealand. After another goal for England, goalkeeper Bradshaw hit the ground and stayed there stopping the game for several minutes. The injury forced him out of the game, but in a great show of strength he refused a stretcher off the field.

England managed two more goals before the half time whistle.

In the second half, New Zealand meant business, taking a goal within the first forty seconds. The game became fierce and an English player had to leave the field after suffering a heavy blow. English player Dominic Holver was then warned for becoming too physical, although it did not stop the force of the team who scored another 5 goals to take out the match.

New Zealand was not disheartened by their convincing defeat, with John Love performing a dance for the excited crowd after the full time whistle.

England is now in second position within their group, and will move through into section one of the secondary group matches.
