Denmark v Poland

Denmark (1) v Poland (14)

Poland celebrates winning semi final  Poland celebrates winning semi final

Nearly 2.000 showed up to pitch 1 this evening to support their Danish heroes. A handful Poland supporters were placed on the tribunes, however their cheering was drown out by the Danish crowd, singing at shouting for their favorites.

The weight of expectation was too much for Danish shoulders to bear and it showed as players such as the inspirational captain Bell started to yell at members of their own team. The Poles on the other hand were driven by unity of purpose, led by their able skipper. They had one aim, to silence the stands. A stunned Denmark watched five goals fly in while Poland's keeper had littler work to do as Bell's supply was cut off in the first.

It got no better in the second half as nine more rattled home. Bell rang at the end (apologies for that, but it had to be done) with a penalty. A rash of rough tackles towards the end saw a Dane expelled. The Poles achieved their aim. The Danish support was silent. Poland jubilant. Denmark crestfallen. The crowd acknowledged worthy and emphatic victors
