By Judith KirszbaumCAMEROON and Colombia faced off today in the Women's Homeless World Cup at Federation Square Stadium, producing an impressive, skillful display.
Colombia's 6-0 win was based on a strong defence that barely allowed the ball to leave Cameroon's goal area.
The Colombians started well, impressing the crowd with their ball skills and forcing the Cameroonian goalkeeper to warm up quickly. Colombia's Numerous attempts on goal eventually paid off giving them the first goal early in the game.
Cameroon goalkeeper guarded her territory keeping the deficit down to 3-0 at half-time.
At the beginning of the second half Cameroon came back with a new found sense of determination.
But, soon its goalkeeper was ducking and diving resulting in some tremendous saves and some beautiful goals for Colombia.
Colombia proved to be too strong as the half wore on, scoring another three unanswered goals to claim a 6-0 win.
