Chile (6) v (3) England
There was no easy goal and no casual shots in this intense match between huge talents. The first several minutes neither team could gain control of the pitch, yet England was the first to score but, while the public was regaining its breath Chile, traditionally good scorer, retuned the goal. In the next couple of minutes a goal from Chile was cancelled because it was shot from inside the penalty area, and both teams exchanged a couple of quick goals for 2:2. Everything was happening within seconds as England took the lead with yet another magnificent goal and Chile returned one equally spectacular and scored a shootout for 4:3.
The second half passed under the star of Chilean goalkeeper who made a serious of impossible saves with the blistering sun in his eyes. His steady performance gave a lot of margin of action for his team to continue the offense of the English door and the full stands of San Siro burst out with applause at the two beautiful goals Chile scored. England had their chances, but bad luck and the very energetic interference of the Chilean defenders prevented them from showing more.
This Dignitary cup final was dignitary of a final for the Homeless World Cup and prepared the stands for what is to come at Arena Civica tonight, as the final match of the tournament will be disputed between Ukraine and Portugal.
