With their 5 meter tall flag waving on the pitch side, Norway was the first team to score. However the lead did not last for long. Shortly after Canada placed a shot in the Norwegian nett, and the game continued like that for the rest of first half - the game just waving from side to side. At half time the score was 2 to 2.
In second half the two teams were still equal, however Norway was more efficient. Canada did have some good chances and pushed to even the score, but even though the Canadian player number 6 scored a hat trick, they could just not keep up with a good Norwegian team play.
