Canada (7) v (3) Cambodia

Canada (7) v (3) Cambodia

With an Australian reserve player filling in on each team, Canada overcame a tenacious Cambodia 7-3 in the INSP Cup semi final this afternoon.

Australia's Dave Anderson played on the field for Cambodia while Tim Butler was solid in goals for the Canadians.

Perry Senko gave Canada a three-goal lead with a first-half hat-trick, including two long-range shots from just inside Canada's attacking half.

Cambodia clawed one back and then Anderson, who had peppered the Canadian goal with shots, snuck one past Butler to make it 4-2.

Cambodia pressured Canada with a third goal before Krystal Bell gave Canada a fifth.

Despite picking up some knocks, the Cambodians continued to look for catch-up goals and hit the Canadian crossbar a number of times.

Senko scored his fourth goal of the match to put Canada 6-3 up and then a clever back heel from Bell secured the 7-3 win.

Canada now meets Malawi in the INSP Cup final.
