Burundi v Mexico

Burundi (2) v Mexico (4)

In the first winners' semi final in the Hus Forbi Trophy Cup, it was a clash between the long, rapid legs of Burundi and the Mexican stamina. First half turned out extremely tight. Mexico had most possession of the ball, and had some good shots, but the Burundian keepr did a very good job. So did the Mexican defense who did not let anything pass.

We all had to wait 4 minutes before the first goal was put in by the Mexican captain. That score lasted for the rest of first half. It should then be interesting to see if the game would loosen up in second half, maybe giving away more open chances for the two teams.

The chances did come, but not the goals. It was now Burundi who was in possession most of the time, and they fired some real cannonballs at the Mexican goal, but outstanding reflexes, again and again,  by the keeper saved Mexico for trouble.

Three minutes into the second half, 10 minuets into the match, the equalizer did come, but it was a short joy for Burundi. Santiesteban from Mexico showed some skills and - - - Gooooooooooooooll!!

The game ended 4-2 for Mexico and the are ready for the final tomorrow against the winner of the Finland-The Netherlands clash.
