By Sebastian JamesAUSTRIA has completed its third win of the tournament, defeating Rwanda 8-3 in a hard-fought match.
The victory puts the Austrians into second place in Group H.
The scorers were called into play in the first minute of the match, after a powerful shot by Siaband Botoev sneaked into the goal.
The first half of the match belonged to Austria, with the Europeans putting a further six goals past Rwanda.
The highlight of the bunch belonged to Serkan Yavuz. After his powerfull shot was saved by the stand-in Rwandan keeper, the ball flew high in the air and Yavuz's header sailed into the goal.
The Rwandans were much more competitive in the second half, not only limiting Austria to one goal but scoring three of their own.
The towering striker from Rwanda, Hussein Ntakirutimana, came fresh off the bench to great effect. Obtaining the ball in his own half he was able to dribble past one Austrian and then smashed a powerful shot into goal.
Yildrim Orhan finished the scoring for the match and also completed his hat-trick in the 13th minute with a great shot from the back post.
