Day Four of Homeless World Cup action has drawn to a close with Argentina recording an impressive 12-2 victory over India.
Inspirational Argentinean captain Hugo Herrera was the star of the show, finding the goal no less than eight times in a best-on-ground performance.
The teams held first and second positions of the Group E table heading into the match and it shaped as a vital contest for each side. But the Argentineans were simply too good, controlling play from the outset and creating a myriad of scoring opportunities. Herrera had a hat-trick to his name just after the two-minute mark as his side stormed to a commanding 6-0 advantage.
But a goal on the stroke of half time to Indian Sawan Nigam brought the crowd to life and sent the Indians into the break full of spirit.
Another Indian goal right after play restarted, this time to Deepak Ho, reduced the deficit to 6-2 and gave the underdogs a sniff of victory. But Argentina responded in style, scoring six unanswered goals to round out a superb performance.
