Many Afghans living in Denmark had shown up for this evening game between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan. Waving flags and cheering loudly, they gave the game a good atmosphere and made sure no one was thinking about the chilly temperatures that had entered the area after sunset.
Afghanistan played efficient football and scored on most of their chances, but all in all it was a lively game with good goals. Kazakhstan netted 3, but Afghanistan did 6.
Most memorable from this game was the solo run by Afghanistan no. 6. Starting out near his own box he was weaving through the Kazakh defense like another Maradona or Lionel Messi. Along the way he lost his shoe, but managed to send the ball the last way cross the white line. Excellento!
